Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall have become the latest celebrities to be photographed by Bryan Adams to raise awareness about the issue of hearing loss.
As the official photographer for Hear the World, Adams also took a picture of Michael Buble. Adams has previously taken pictures of Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, Smokey Robinson, Lindsay Lohan and Dionne Warwick. Each one was photographed with a hand behind his or her ear to convey an attempt to hear. Hall recently auctioned off the wedding dress which she wore to marry the Rolling Stone for Emmaus charity for the homeless.
Hear the World is a global non-profit initiative launched by hearing device manufacturer Phonak to educate people about protecting their hearing, the social and emotional implications of hearing loss and the solutions. "I'm interested in the goals that Hear the World is trying to achieve," Adams said. "As a musician, I'm naturally sympathetic to a cause dedicated to help people appreciate and preserve an individual's sense of sound."

Bryan performs at the Peace One Day Celebration at the Royal Albert Hall in London Sept 21st.
Bryan Adams, Annie Lennox and John Legend will be among the artists celebrating Peace Day at the Royal Albert Hall on 21 September. Appearing on stage alongside them will be the actor Jude Law, who will introduce a screening of a new documentary film, The Day After Peace, in which he stars. This film by Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley documents Gilley's 10-year quest to establish an annual global Day of Peace. It shows the chain of events that led to the UN sanctioning his motion in 2001, and Gilley persuading countries and governments to adopt this day as one of ceasefire and non-violence. Other footage features Lennox, the Dalai Lama, David Beckham, Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller, all of whom have helped the mission. "When I initially had the idea to establish the first ever day of peace voted by every head of state in the world, I actually thought it would fail. But I knew if I documented the journey, I'd make a profound statement about how unwilling our world is to unite," says Gilley. "Ten years later, not only has the day been created, but also in Afghanistan it was acknowledged by all parties and [in 2007] 1.4 million children were vaccinated against polio, which was a historic achievement," he continues. "But it is not only what is going on in areas of conflict that is important. It is also about the violence in our homes, communities and workplace."
The former RSC actor turned to film-making to promote positive change. This is his second Peace Day Celebration at the Royal Albert Hall, and he wants to build on the achievements of last year, which saw more than 100 million people taking part in 192 countries. "If we are to move from a culture of war to a culture of peace then we will have to unite around the most fundamental issue that humanity faces – the protection of each other and our environment," he says. "Peace Day, 21 September, is the starting point."

Bryan Adams will join Annie Lennox on stage at the Albert Hall for the Peace One Day concert in September.
The so-called Groover From Vancouver will perform a live acoustic performance with Annie for the campaigning gig. The concert, on September 21, will also include a key note speech by Jude Law and a screening of the star-studded documentary The Day After Peace.
Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley said Bryan's decision was inspirational. "Bryan Adams is an exciting addition to the musicians performing live to celebrate Peace Day. His music is loved worldwide and his long standing support of noble causes is an inspiration. We are honoured that he will be a part of The Peace One Day Celebration this year," he said.
Jeremy's film The Day After Peace will be screened during the evening. The documentary film follows his 10-year journey to establish an annual day of peace and to ask the countries of the world to recognise this day as an official day of ceasefire and non-violence. The film also features Kofi Annan, The Dalai Lama, Jude Law, Angelina Jolie, Annie Lennox and Jonny Lee Miller. Last year's Peace One Day Celebration sold out and featured performances from Annie, Yusuf (formerly Cat Stevens), Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison, Marc Almond and Kate Nash. It was broadcast around the world to an estimated 100 million people.
