Bryan Adams has a song in the new feature film, Old Dogs, starring John Travolta, Robin Williams and Kelly Preston. The Canadian singer wrote the track, "You've Been A Friend To Me" especially for Old Dogs -- a movie that centers around two friends who find their lives turned upside down they suddenly have to take care of 7-year-old twins.
Adams submitted his song a while back hoping that it would be a part of the film, but tells us things were delayed after the tragic death of Travolta and Preston's son, Jett, earlier this year; "It was quite to fun to get involved in that film. After I presented the song I sort of read through the idea of what the film was about and spoken to Disney and sort of got the brief on what they wanted. After presenting the song, it all went quiet for a while. It didn't really occur to me until they explained to me that everything got put on hold because of John and the sad death of his son, you know. I kind of sat there for a while and said, 'I guess they don't really like it.' And then suddenly I got a call from the head of music and the director, saying, 'Hey, we love this man.'"
