“Bryan Adams hurt Manchester United soccer fans”
Rocker Bryan Adams embarrassingly faced a chorus of boos as he attempted to perform one of his most famous hits in Manchester.
The Canadian singer, 47, chose a willing member of the audience to duet with him on his well-known hit When You’re Gone during his show at the MEN Arena.
However, with Manchester United having only recently been knocked out of the Champions League while arch-rivals Liverpool progressed to the final in Greece, his choice of singing partner proved a faux pas.
“Being Canadian, Adams probably didn’t appreciate the bitter rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool,” says one observer. “Unluckily for him, he chose a Liverpudlian woman to sing with him and she wasted no time rubbing United fans’ noses in it, chanting, ‘Athens here we come!’
“The mood in the Mancunian audience immediately turned very hostile and the place was suddenly filled with deafening boos. Adams didn’t quite understand what he’d inadvertently caused, but looked embarrassed.”

ACTUALLY, BRYAN IS A BIG FOOTBALL FAN AND FOLLOWER OF CHELSEA - SO PROBABLY WAS QUITE AWARE OF WHAT THE GIRL HAD DONE…… HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT A “SO CALLED FAN” WOULD BEHAVE IN SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL WAY AT A CONCERT - AND THINK OF ALL THE GIRLS WHO WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE BEEN PICKED WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW TO BEHAVE PROPERLY AND GIVE HIM THE RESPECT DUE TO HIM. PERHAPS HE SHOULD GIVE UP THIS IDEA IN FUTURE CONCERTS - WHO KNOWS WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT?! BEWARE BRYAN - THERE’S NOUGHT SO STRANGE AS FOLK!

Hi, i was there when he picked the Liverpool girl out of the crowd at Manchester, now before we go on I don’t really follow football, so it took me a while to work out what had happened. I went with my friend who is a really big Man utd fan, and the Liverpool girl really rub it in about Mancester being out, and my friend got kindof angry, well most people did got angry. I really dont believe people were booing Bryan, they were booing the girl, after the girl left the stage everyone was cheering Bryan on.It wasn’t like they basically ignored him. He couldn’t help pickin a Liverpool girl out of the really big crowd. I must admit that it was kindof funny that out of all of us there (most from Manchester) he manage to pick a Liverpool girl out, thats what made me laugh the most. But i do have to give it to the girl she still went on even though she got booed, the girl’s got gutts.

Dear Bryan,
I think there are so many wonderful global / charity causes that you have supported while successfully maintain an exciting career as a recording artist and THAT should be the ONE and Only thing we fans should be focused on. If there was any mistake made in picking out this idiot girl to sing with you while in concert, it was that the numb nutt girl couldn’t appreciate who she was standing next and how exciting it would have been to have met you in person. I remember seeing you in concert in Seattle WA when I was 16 yrs old. You were the opening act for Journey. I was impressed with YOU and I have to say that you amaze me with your endless talent. Don’t be embarrassed by someone elses stupidity. You were probably GREAT and I wished I Could have been the GIRL you chose to sing with. Sometimes God gives us situations to better ourselves and maybe this experience was given to show you just how STUPID some people can be. LOL……..Good luck Bryan…
