Bryan Adams barred from Diana memorial concert
Bryan Adams has been banned from performing at a memorial concert for Princess Diana.
Adams has been declared persona non grata over speculations that he had a romantic link-up with the late princess.
Diana’s sons, Princes William and Harry, who are organising the concert have banned the ‘Everything I Do’ singer, as they wanted to make sure that no tittle-tattle looms over the concert.

However, according to a source, there are no personal reasons as to why the royals don’t want Adams to sing.
“The princes have nothing against Bryan Adams… But they want the concert to be free of any innuendo or tittle-tattle. It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear,” Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying.
Meanwhile, the Canadian artist’s rep confirmed that Adams wouldn’t be performing at the musical show.
The concert will take place on July 1, 2007, the day which would have been Diana’s 46th birthday.
The concert will be staged at the rebuilt Wembley Stadium. Confirmed acts include Duran Duran, Joss Stone, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, English National Ballet, Pharrell Williams and Bryan Ferry.

A totally dumb decision. Diana loved BA’s music and a tribute without Bryan’s performance is definitely incomplete.

I agree wit Amrita, this is an absolutely stupid decision. It’s a pity that they falled for some untrue gossip/rumours. Neither Diana nor Bryan deserved it.

If it was true they quoted ‘It was decided that it would be inappropriate for Adams to appear’ why would they have let him play Althorp last year

i think that Bryan Adams is to good for the Royals anyway and has more followers

That was the most dumbest that those two boys have ever done. They made a big mistake ever. Bryan Adams loves London.

I think Diana just loved Bryan’s songs coz the guy
is just talented I mean he is very good. those two didn,t have affair.

Why are they suddenly afraid of gossip. Their father, Prince Charles, certainly doesn’t mind gossip! The two boys need to grow up and realize that their mother was a fan of Bryan’s music. If she did dally with Bryan, it is not anyone’s business but Bryan and Diana. In reality who really cares if they did “enjoy” each other’s company!?

what a load of crap it is not about that so if you new her and was alone with her once you can not go well i will not be going if itis going to be like that and i dont think she would want this

what a shame about not appearing at the concert, well! it,s there loss, the concert wont be the same.the boys should pick up there rattle and chill out

I agree with the decision. BA and Princess Diana had a short fling and it would be inappropriate and hang over the tribute. I love Di and BA; sometimes things are just the way they are. He has fond memories of her………he doesn’t need to sing-I am more than sure he will remember her birthday in his own way. The palace will never change it’s one way thinking. Happy memories for Diana on July 1.

I think it is a bad decison cos i reckon there will be more rumours now than if Bryan was able to perform. i think that banning him will make people think that something did happen between them. saw Bryan at the NEC on wednesday and he was AWESOME, so i think they are missing out on seeing a truely talented singer perform in memory of Diana. God Bless Diana x

I also think it’s a bad decision, but what do you expect from the Royal family? It’s always about drama for those people.Even if something did happen between Diana and Bryan Adams,it was a long time ago for God’s sake!Move on Royal Family! That’s what I say.

the whole thing is just plain stupid. Diana was a normal person royal or not so she was a fan of bryan adams’ music and they hung out thats not reason to ban bryan from her memorial. it’s not fair to her or to bryan.

I saw that concert on TV and i was sad because i didn’t saw Bryan there. It would be more beautiful with him.=(

I don’t think it matters if anything did happen between them. BA is one of the best singers/musicians in the World.
If something happened all that time ago then why not have BA at the conert?
The concert wasn’t that good, there seemed to be problems with filming and I was annoyed by this and if BA performed that would’ve improved the concert and my mood!
