Mickey Rourke by Bryan Adams Leica Exhibition And Auction Starts Nov 20th in Vienna
On the eve of his Vienna concert, Westlicht, “Schauplatz für Fotografie”, presents the rock star in a special exhibition from his lesser known side as a photographer. The series of photographs entitled “Mickey Rourke by Bryan Adams” taken in London during 2005 for “zoo magazine” received the German magazine trade’s Lead Award, and featured as the special Visual Gallery highlight at this year’s Photokina in Cologne.
Peter Coeln, founder of Westlicht and in charge of the Westlicht “Photographica Auctions” as well as “Leica Shops Wien”, is determined to auction the camera for charitable causes only. The money raised from the auction will go to the new “Bryan Adams Foundation”, which will be dealing with charities in areas as diverse as cancer research, educational projects, and environmental issues.

Bryan Adams LEICA D-LUX black
It is a special model of the Leica D-Lux in black which has been manufactured as individual item for Canadian musician and Leica-photographer Bryan Adams in 2004.
The Leica D-Lux in black as a set with two photographs will be auctioned on Monday, November 20, 2006, at 4 PM for a good cause: the net profit will go to the newly founded Bryan Adams Foundation which is devoted to a broad field of charitable themes - from cancer research to educational and nature protection projects.
The black edition of the digital LEICA compact camera is unique and will be offered with a leather photobag especially produced for this special model. It includes a certificate handsigned by the Leica management, a unique copy of the Leica D-Lux booklet with a noble metal cover and a high-quality presentation box. Along with the camera, a self portrait that Bryan Adams took with the Leica D-Lux as well as a portrait of Bryan Adams that the famous photographer Michael Agel took will be auctioned.
