MONTREAL (CP) - A new poll suggests Bryan Adams’ Summer of ‘69 is top of the pops when it comes to Canada’s favourite driving song. 

The Decima Research survey of 1,000 Canadians has the song beating out Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Steppenwolf’s classic Born to be Wild.

Summer of ‘69, which came out in the mid-1980s, topped the list for anglophones and francophones, as well as for men and women.

 The respondents were given a list of seven songs chosen by a panel of music journalists.

The poll was conducted July 12-19 and is considered accurate within 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
