The Canadian rocker Bryan Adams had a concert in Karachi, Pakistan on Sunday.

“I am here because this city has a special love for music”, Bryan greeted the fans.

It was the first big show by a Western singer in Pakistan in decades.
Bryan was glad to discover new fans in Pakistan however Islamists oppose Western influences, especially rock music.

Bryan Adams also helped the victims of the earthquake in northern Pakistan. “We are going to raise a lot of money hopefully to help rebuild some schools in the areas that have been devastated”, said Adams.

On Monday, he will meet President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in Islamabad.
